Intensive Outpatient Program

Outpatient Program (also known as IOP)

Shadow Mountain Recovery offers an evening Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in both Colorado Springs and Denver. This program meets several nights per week from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The IOP is for clients that are in the early stages of addiction recovery and are able to function with day-to-day activities, but still need the structure of a therapeutic process to guide them and help stabilize while learning the skills for sustainable recovery.

Supporting Early Recovery

The IOP group is also used for clients coming from a day treatment programming who are ready for a more limited process of treatment. The programming schedule makes it possible for a client to work while still continuing the treatment process and receiving support in the early stages of recovery. The evening IOP recommendation is 60 days, two months of engagement. During this time clients participate in a full curriculum of assignments as well as group therapy, individual therapy, family process, cognitive behavioral work, didactic lectures, didactic work. Addiction recovery can be complicated and our clients also have the ability to access couples therapy and individual family sessions as needed.
